CLT旋风除尘器是XLT型旋风除尘器的一种改进型。其结构特点是具有向下倾斜的螺旋切线型气体进口，顶板为螺旋型的导向板。导向板的角度越大，压力损失越小，但除尘效率降低。一般情况下，导向板角度采用其8度-20度，CLT/A型旋风除尘器采用15度。由于气体从切向进入，又有导向板的作用，可消除进入气体向上流动而形成的小旋涡气流，减少动能消耗，提高除尘效率。它的另一个特点是筒体细长的锥体较长，而且锥体的锥角较小，能提高除尘效率，但压力损失也较高。
技术规格
　　CLT旋风除尘器以筒体直径为基准，有Φ300-Φ800mm共11种规格，每隔50mm为一级。按筒体个数分类有单筒、双筒、三筒、四筒和六筒5种组合。每种组合有两种排气型式，一种为水平（旁侧）排气（X型），一般用于负压操作；一种为上部（正中）排气（Y型），用于正压或负压操作。X型的双筒组合者，有正中进排气和旁侧进排气两种组合型式；单筒和三筒只有旁侧进排气一种型式；四筒和六筒组合只有正中进排气型式。对于Y型各种组合，可采用X型中任意一种进气位置。筒体和蜗壳有右旋转和左旋转两种型式。安装时进排气可采用`90度旋转的不同方向装配。排灰装置单筒组合配用圆锥式闪动阀，其他四种组合配用回转下料器。法兰垫片根据不同工作气体温度选取，在温度大于60℃时用石棉橡胶垫片，小于60℃时可用橡皮垫片。组装完毕后，应做不小于30000Pa的气压试验，以保证气密不漏风。
