塔器是指用以进行分离或吸收等物理过程、改变气体或液体复杂混合物组成的设备。又称“塔设备”。其高度与直径之比较大，塔器内外设置有一定的附件。内件用以使物料中的气体与液体、气体与固体、液体与液体或液体与固体密切接触，表面不断更新以完成质量传递（一般伴随热量传递）的过程。
