1、该系列破碎机主要用于冶金、矿山、化工、水泥、建筑、耐火材料及陶瓷等工业部门作中碎和细碎各种中硬矿石和岩石用。
2、该系列破碎机最适宜于破碎抗压强度不高于300MPa（兆帕）的各种软硬矿石，被破碎物料的最大块度不得大于技术参数表所规定。
3、鄂式破碎机广泛运用于矿山、冶炼、建材、公路、铁路、水利和化学工业等众多部门，破碎抗压强度不超过320兆帕的各种物料。
颚式破碎机由：静鄂板、边护扳、动鄂板、皮带轮、偏心轴、推动扳、调整块以及电机和皮带组成。
鄂式破碎机的主要磨损部件是：鄂板，并且消耗量极大。因此，提高鄂板的使用寿命非常重要。而提高鄂板的使用寿命，关键在于分析其工况条件及磨损机理，根据工况条件合理地选择鄂板材质。常见的鄂板材质主要有四种：高锰钢、中锰钢、高铬铸铁与高锰钢复合、低合金铸钢。
